So for those of us not needing a hotel room (I live close enough to drive there and back each day), what options would we need please? Just BFS membership and tickets for the entire event?

So sorry it's been ages since I posted anything anywhere here, but will there be an art display for all us budding artists?
Interested in getting a dealer's table for my pewter jewellery.

Thank you. I'm hoping to get a bit more work "out there", but it's hard going for all us artists and writers. If anyone's going to the big Whitby Goth Weekend this October, I'll be trading there.

I do have an Etsy shop, but it's only for my jewellery (pewter fantasy stuff), don't know if that would also be of interest? It kind of feels like I'm just plugging my stuff, but finding people who really appreciate fantasy/sci-fi is always a pleasure when it's what you do.

Dragon/wyvern-type pendants (I sculpt them in epoxy putty then send them away to be cast in pewter);

^That one's currently sold out.

If anyone's interested in the pewter stuff, here's my shop;

Currently, I do have an agent, but finding work doing traditional-media fantasy/sci-fi art is difficult. It would be nice to work on some prog rock or heavy metal album covers, but the market for this sort of thing does seem limited.

Hm, feels a bit like shouting into the wind here at the moment, is there anybody out there? :D

Okay, if anyone's watching, here's another one, a bit older, oils on canvas. I was trying to re-jig an older painting of some steaming magma that didn't have a lot going for it, so of course, I stuck some flying critters with riders on it, like you do. "Survey Flight";

This one is called "Morning Cuppa" and was sold a little while ago at an exhibition in Leicecester, thankfully I managed to get it professionally scanned so can make good quality prints of it;

I'd vote Midlands/Nottingham, but that's because I'm lazy and live nearby. Derby would be even better, Chesterfield would be fantastic!  ;)

But given that it's 2016 we're talking about, that's enough time to plan the logistics no matter where it's held.

How about seeing if anyone at White Dwarf or Games Workshop is interested? Their HQ's in Nottingham, so posting the prints wouldn't be a problem.
My partner has loads of old White Dwarf magazines; it's a shame they've gone all generic on their artwork now, there were some excellent pieces included in the older magazines.

This is another oils on canvas, "Desert Rider", inspired after watching the latest Mad Max film. I love desolate landscapes and this cyberpunk/post-apocalyptic visual style;

And here's a detail of the woman, she's barely over an inch tall;

Hello everyone,

I'm an aspiring artist working in traditional media, who likes to include fantastcical/sci-fi elements into my work. Some lovely people over on the Introductions board suggested I start a thread here to show my work, so here I am. :)

This is my latest unfinished piece, still very much a work in progress and oils on canvas. It's developing into a cosmic tree, there may be tiny insectoid spaceships involved somewhere. I really don't know where I got this idea from! Though it could have links to Yggdrasil/world-tree ideology subconsciously. Sometimes these paintings star to take on a life of their own;

Yes, best place at the moment is probably my Facebook page. Am I allowed to post links here?

Edit; having just scanned the board rules in this section, I think it would be okay to post the link to my FB page here, also you can google Dark Flights Art to find other areas I've posted in :) ;
