Fantasycon 2010

Now is a good time to start thinking about volunteering for Fantasycon's committee for next year. Besides the convention chairman we need a secretary, and folk to organise the dealers' room, the art show, etc, etc. If you have thoughts on this, or you wish to offer your services for 2010, contact Guy Adams. I'm sure he will appreciate all offers.

Because if there isn't a committee, there won't be a convention.  :'(

What does the secretary job involve? I'd be interested in helping out.

If only you'd said that six months ago I'd have been saved much tedious work! It wouldn't be worth the trouble of handing it over now, but the FantasyCon committee could still use help.

For example, someone to organise the author readings might be handy, since Allyson stepped down from that, or perhaps the banquet. I don't think we've been in touch with publishers yet to scare up books for the goody bags, either.

If you email Guy Adams (fcon@britishfantasysociety.org) I'm sure he'll be very glad of the help.

Excellent. If you don't hear back, let me know and I'll sort something out for you to do.
