So, “Periscope” to “Perihelion”. Can we therefore expect – “Bleak Static” or “Black Statins” to “Black Static”; “Indy Zone” to “Interzone”, “Post Crisps” to “Postscripts”; and so on?

Thanks Des! And Allen, maybe you've hit the submission game on the head (there's a story in there somewhere...)

And another story acceptance: "The Plasticity of Identity" to an anthology I'm yet able to name.

(I do get rejected too. SF novel rejected a few months back because they liked my style but not the central idea, and then rejected yesterday because they liked the central idea but not my style!)

As part of Noirwich crime festival I'm reading from "The Immortalists" on 2nd September at Norwich Arts Centre (51 St Benedicts Street, Norwich, NR2 4PG) in their cafe bar. Readings will start at 7.30pm.

The writers taking part are: Paula Cocozza, Andrew Hook, Elspeth Latimer, Dani Redd, Emma Rhind-Tutt.

Each writer will read for approximately 5 minutes and there will be a chance for discussion and mingling afterwards.

I've had a short SF story, "Periscope", published online over at Perihelion SF. I've also blogged about how the story came to be written here.

I've sold "The Day My Heart Stood Still" to Postscripts, "Black Lung" to Black Static, and two other stories to anthologies I'm not allowed to name. Also started writing the fourth Mordent novel, "The Happy Finish".
