Since I last posted here several short stories have been published: "The Aniseed Gumball Kid" in Breakout (a Postscripts anthology from PS Publishing), "Us!" in Creeping Crawlers edited by Allen Ashley, "Vulvert" in Confingo magazine, "The First You & I" in Skylark Review, and "The Nomenclature of Fear" as a standalone short story chapbook from InShort Publishing in Australia.

I'm going to have to start writing more stories.

I seem to have let visiting here lapse. I've had a few stories published/accepted for publication since the last post so won't list them all, but in book news...

1. A short story collection, "Slow Motion Wars", co-authored with Allen Ashley, has recently been published by theEXAGGERATEDpress and is available to purchase here

2. A novella, "The Greens", will be published by Snowbooks this September and launched at FantasyCon

3. A short story collection, "Human Maps", will be published by Eibonvale Press towards the end of this year

4. I'm editing an anthology for NewCon Press titled, "Elasticity", which will feature 15 stories previously published by Elastic Press (which I ran from 2002 to 2009). Publication date 2017.

5. Another short story collection, "Frequencies of Existence", is scheduled in publication for 2018 but as yet I can't reveal the publisher

Ooh, Elasticity sounds like it should be a popular choice! Any hints about the terms or criteria you're using to select the stories from so many brilliant originals?

Hi Djibril

It wasn't that difficult choosing stories for Elasticity. Some choices automatically popped up in my head even as Ian was suggesting the book to me. I've posted the contents on my website, so am free to announce it here (some weren't originally published by Elastic but I felt it had to be a broad choice to reflect the Press - I think 8 of these were first published by us).

Andrew Humphrey – Grief Inc
Brian Howell – The Tower
Mike O’Driscoll – Evelyn Is Not Real
Neil Williamson – Amber Rain
Jeff Gardiner – 310153
Gary Couzens - Four AM
Marion Arnott – When We Were Five
Antony Mann – Shopping
Allen Ashley – Somme-Nambula
Nick Jackson – Visits To The Flea Circus
Justina Robson – Alsiso
Andrew Tisbert – Jasmine
Maurice Suckling – Televisionism
Chris Beckett – The Marriage of Sea and Sky
Tim Nickels – fight Music

Sounds great. My brain is too porous to figure out how many of those I read first time around, but I'm guessing about half of them. (I know people who religious collected all the Elastic books, but looking at my shelves I seem only to have about 6 of them any more. Maybe I gave some away to reviewers?)

I look forward to seeing it, anyway.

I see I've lapsed in posting here again, but I really should mention I've had two further books published which are now available for purchase.

My novella, "The Greens", has been published by Snowbooks and is a mere snip at £4.99. Purchase it here: http://snowbooks.com/products/80927

Blurb: Two green-skinned children are discovered who claim to have come from within the earth. The local legend states that the boy died, and the girl married but had no children. Is the legend true?

OCD sufferers often perpetuate their rituals believing that if they fail to do so their families will suffer. But what if they are correct – that their rituals are necessary to maintain life’s balance? And what if it was discovered that many OCD sufferers are descendants of the green children...

The Greens is a modern fantasy/horror novella which merges two concepts: that of the 12th Century Suffolk legend of the green children and sufferers of obsessive compulsive disorder.

And my short story collection, "Human Maps", is available in both hardback and paperback from Eibonvale Press (and will be officially launched at the BFS Open Night on the 2nd December in London). Get that one here: http://eibonvalepress.com/books/books_humanmaps.htm

Blurb: Through dreamscape wonderment, fetishism, guilt, loss and love, these twenty-one stories map both physical and internal environments. Hook's familiar themes of identity, memory, and the nature of reality thread multiple genres to form a dense cartographic exploration of the human condition.

I've been a bit lax in posting here, but in brief:

An audio book of my novella, "And God Created Zombies", is available from audible here: http://www.audible.co.uk/pd/Sci-Fi-Fantasy/And-God-Created-Zombies-Audiobook/B06XB2TLSW

My non-fiction book, "Bunuel's The Exterminating Angel: a personal analysis", is available through RoosterVision here: https://www.amazon.com/Bunuels-Exterminating-Angel-personal-RoosterVision/dp/1946335061/

"Elasticity: The Best of Elastic Press" which I've edited for NewCon Press is available here: http://www.newconpress.co.uk/info/book.asp?id=91&referer=Hp

There is a launch event for "Elasticity" (and "Best British Science Fiction 2016") tomorrow - Saturday 8th July at the Star of Kings pub near Kings Cross from 1-5pm. Be there or be elsewhere :)
