Contract signed. I'm going to have a novella in Dark Regions Press' I AM THE ABYSS anthology alongside Laird Barron, Michael Marshall Smith, Kealan Patrick Burke, Reggie Oliver, Caitlin R. Kiernan, Steve Rasnic Tem, Jeffrey Thomas and a couple of others as yet unnamed.

Illustrations will be by the great Les Edwards.

Pretty damned chuffed with this one.

Nice payday too.

My Vikings versus Yeti Sword and Sorcery yarn is now available in audiobook in a wonderful reading by Jonathan Waters from Gryphonwood Press. Five hours of bloody mayhem, death and honor, and big effing howling things. I love it.

Intrigued by the inclusion of Alistair Maclean, Mr M. Care to elucidate? Is it a Caledonian thing?

It probably is - I discovered Where Eagles Dare in the late '60s when I was about 11 and got hooked on his thrillers..

Thanks for the reply, Mr M. I'd never be without a copy of Puppet On A Chain. His output was wildly variable though.

Later on, yep, certainly. But that '60s run of Guns of Navarone, Where Eagles Dare, Ice Station Zebra and When Eight Bells Toll etc was pretty damn great.
