Hi there!

I'm well up for sharing a pdf of my short story, 'Careful What You Wish For' with members. And I've now worked out how to do so - I think you should be able to view it here: http://docs.google.com/View?id=dcjs6287_4fh7gq7gd

It was written for Young Adults, and I hope you like it!

My story Marley's Haunting, which was originally published as a chapbook in 2009, is on the longlist. It will appear in my forthcoming Ash Tree Press collection, Lost Places, being launch next week at WHC, but for any BFS member who can't make WHC to but a copy or doesn't want to order the hardback from Ash Tree direct, I can provide them with a pdf of the story. Contact me direct to arrange.

I'd be more than happy to make the complete text of my long-listed short story collection Remove the Eyes available to BFS members as a free PDF file. The file is 777kb, 209 pages.   Front and back covers are not included.

The collection consists of nine stories, five of them previously published in Midnight Street, Theaker's Quarterly Fiction, Darkness Rising 2005, and Lullaby Hearse.   One of the stories, The Machine of a Religious Man, originally published in Midnight Street, was included in the Year's Best Fantasy and Horror anthology, 19th edition, edited by Ellen Datlow, Kelly Link and Gavin J. Grant.

Please email me at robmary@swbell.net  if you'd like a copy.

Was surprised and pleased that my story from Postscripts 18 made the longlist in the Short Story category.  Here's a link to a .pdf of the story:

I noticed that my story "The Chymical Wedding of Des Esseintes" is on the short story category list. Thanks to whoever recommended it.

If any member would like a PDF (especially since I am not even sure if the book that it is from, Cinnabarís Gnosis, is still available), please feel free to email me at: huysmans67[at]hotmail.com

I had the opportunity to stay in this convent a few years ago and it was the strangest of experiences. The story grew out of that. The place is exactly as I describe it and the caretakers' boys still live there to this day :>)

In book form on ISSUU.

The Convent of Bazzano is in the BFS Yearbook and is listed on the short story recommended list.

Edited To Add...
I can now supply pdfs of "The Wager", long-listed in the Best Short Story Category, and "An Unwise Purchase", long-listed in the Best Novella category. Just IM me with your e-mail address and I'll send them your way.

Best wishes,

First, thanks to the kind-hearted, geriatric-loving soul who recommended my BROKEN SYMMETRIES collection.  Like my companions here, I would be happy to send pdfs or Word docs of the collection (274 pp) to anyone who might be interested.  And if there is anyone who REALLY LOATHES reading on a screen, I can arrange for my publisher (Doghorn Press, also recommended in the magazine category for POLLUTO) to send the first five people who ask a real coffee-spillable-upon book.

The stories in the collection originally appeared in such book anthologies as Darkness Rising, Mammoth Book of New Comic Fantasy, New Writings in the Fantastic, and Thackery T Lambshead Pocket Guide to Eccentric & Discredited Diseases; and in magazines such as Dreamzone, Here & Now, Midnight Street, Polluto, Quality Womenís Fiction (just a phase, I swear!!) and Whispers of Wickedness.  Three of them received Datlow_Windling YBFH honourable mentions.

More details (and the marvellous cover pic by a Spanish artist, Sandra Sue) here: http://www.doghornpublishing.com/broken_symmetries.html

As Steve said, I can offer copies of Broken Symmetries.

I'm also willing to throw free copies of POLLUTO into the mix (PDFs, or paperbacks for the first five people to email me privately). That email is editor@doghornpublishing.com.

Polluto is the bi-annual flagship magazine of Dog Horn Publishing, and has featured writers such as Steve, Rhys Hughes, Jeff Vandermeer, Robert Lamb, Michael Colangelo, Marshall Payne, Deb Hoag and Jim Steel, and artwork by Kurt Huggins & Zelda Devon and Vince Locke. Our first issue was awarded a Spectrum Fantastic Art Silver Editorial Award for the cover art. You can check out the cover art here: http://www.polluto.com.

Oh so this is the thread to offer free pdf's for consideration. Very good. So for any BFS voting member I offer Forever Richard up for free. Only the publisher of Forever Richard has had trouble with their computer and can't access the PDF? Well I have a PDF of the arc but I want those voting to have the best I have to offer SOOOOOO, until the publisher of Forever Richard can find a way to get to the PDF, I'm offering free copies of the book but you'll have to account for shipping since it will be coming from the US.

Also since Never Ceese is the first in the series, and it only makes since to read the first book first, I will send a PDF of that to whomever is interested . . . if they're interested. I have the pdf of that!

So bottom line, for those interested, you may email me at sdent1@bellsouth.net and you can have my 2007 Bram Stoker short-listed Never Ceese and 2009 Pluto Award short-listed, Forever Richard. ;)
