With the Gardner Dozois-edited anthology, The Book of Swords, due out in less than three weeks, Gardner has picked my story, "The Sword of Destiny," to use in a promotional excerpt.

You can check it out here: http://www.unboundworlds.com/2017/09/exclusive-excerpt-gardner-dozoiss-book-swords/?ref=PRH96C06AE639&aid=randohouseinc26226-20&linkid=PRH96C06AE639

I've created a Patreon account
« Reply #241 on: October 05, 2017, 04:21:27 PM »
Well, I've done it.

I've created a Patreon account so that people who like my work and want me to keep on producing can support the effort with a dollar or a few each month.

In return for which they will not only get my sincere gratitude, but all kinds of rewards.

If you're interested, here's where to go:  https://www.patreon.com/user?u=4687520

Patreon so far
« Reply #242 on: October 07, 2017, 03:05:57 PM »
It's a little less than 48 hours since I announced my Patreon page on Facebook, Twitter, and other venues, and I've attracted 21 patrons who have pledged $130 (less the fees Patreon and Paypal charge).

That's a very heartening beginning.

My thanks to all the Heroes of the Archonate (and one Friend of Filidor) who have pledged.

Book of Swords "Ask Me Anything" on reddit.com/r/fantasy
« Reply #243 on: October 10, 2017, 03:15:58 PM »
On Thursday, this week, Iím going to be participating in an Ask Me Anything event on the reddit.com/r/fantasy discussion group to promote The Book of Swords.

In case youíve missed my several mentions of it, The Book of Swords, is a new anthology edited by Gardner Dozois that was officially published today and is already ranked number nine in fantasy anthologies on Amazon.  The consensus of critics is that itís going to be one of the top sff anthos of the year.

The AMA launches late morning, Central Time.  Iím right now on UK time (about six hours later) so Iíll probably connect about then and be available for a few hours, if anyone wants to ask me anything.  If youíre not already a member of reddit.com/r/fantasy, it takes only seconds to join the group.

In other news, my Patreon page has attracted more than two dozen Heroes of the Archonate since I launched it five days ago.  If youíd like to join the ranks of heroes, hereís where to go:

Gerge R.R. Martin rates me "criminally underrated"
« Reply #244 on: October 11, 2017, 11:30:49 AM »
Came across this on George R.R. Martin's Not a Blog.

"Today is. . . publication day for THE BOOK OF SWORDS  . . . There's an impressive table of contents, including brand new stories by giants of the genre like Robin Hobb, Ken Liu, the criminally underrated Matthew Hughes, Scott Lynch, Daniel Abraham, Cecelia Holland, Lavie Tidhar, and many more."

So I'm one of the "giants of the genre," and "criminally underrated," according to George.  From his lips to the readers' ears.

Patreon says I should keep reminding people that I now have a Patreon account.  So consider yourself reminded.  Here's a link:
