Roy Ward Baker 1916 - 2010
« on: October 08, 2010, 08:26:00 pm »
Just found out that the British film director Roy Ward Baker has passed away at the age of 93.

Although probably best known for his 1958 film A Night To Remember, which vividly recreated the sinking of the Titanic, he worked quite often for Hammer and Amicus from the late 1960's until the early 1980's. Among his fantasy and horror films were Quatermass and the Pit, Dr Jekyll and Sister Hyde, Scars of Dracula, The Vampire Lovers, The Legend of the Seven Golden Vampires, Asylum, And Now The Screaming Starts, The Vault of Horror and The Monster Club.

Not a bad CV, that.
