BFS Awards 2011 - Longlist now open for voting
« on: April 11, 2011, 07:55:37 pm »
The Longlist for the BFS Awards 2011 is now available for voting by BFS Members and registered attendees of FantasyCon 2010 and 2011 only.  Please click on the following link, or cut and paste it into a browser to access it:

https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?hl=en&formkey=dEhyMFVVZ3JzTUh4S0JKM2JxYzdQY3c6MQ#gid=0

Please note that there is no option to 'reset' a Placing if it is not needed at all, so please consider carefully before choosing your 1st, 2nd and 3rd Placements.  If you do enter the wrong one, then you will have to refresh the form and start again.

Voting will be open until MAY 31 2011, so you have until then to make your voice heard and your vote count. After that date, the votes will be tallied and the top scoring entries in each category will go forward to the next round of voting.

If anyone spots any errors in the listing, then please advise us by email to bfsawards@britishfantasysociety.org

Cheers

David

I had a similar problem with the Fcon booking form last year - adding a fourth column for "no vote" might help.

Is there a full list anywhere so that we can see where the short stories and novellas were published?

Unfortunately not this year. The full information was not available and so we decided to go with the reduced list.

That's odd - it should all have been in the spreadsheet under "Publication Details".

That's handy, I was planning to sample some Peter Watts fiction.

My story 'Silent Night' is available at http://www.screamingdreams.com/ezine/Christmas2010.pdf

My story 'A Killing on the Market' is from Where the Heart Is which is on the Best Anthology list.

My story 'Crashes', Joe Essid's 'Something For Nothing' and David Gullen's 'Fade' are from Catastrophia which is also on the Best Anthology list. (If either of those two win I'm going to claim credit for telling people where to find their stories and demand they share the award with me.)

I'm not sure where any of the other stories come from. Sorry.
