FantasyCon email?
« on: November 30, 2012, 06:23:32 PM »
Who does the chair@fantasycon.co.uk email go to, please? Thought I'd check before I email it. I need to speak to someone about the FantasyCon bank account.  Ta.

I'd have thought that just goes to Lee, Debbie - is that who you want to send it to?

My guess would be that it goes to Marie, but if you need to find out for sure, email Neil, the BFS web admin.

I'd email Lee about the account, though, copying in the treasurer.

I gather there is more than one Fantasycon bank account since the event has been organised independently of the BFS committee for a couple of years. I think Lee is in charge of the old account.

I just want somebody to tell the bank to stop sending me statements. My address should not be in their records anymore. Tried phoning the bank myself but still waiting for a call back. And it's kind of hard to answer their "security questions" when I haven't been involved for quite some time now.

Did you sign it over to Amanda? Last I knew the signatories on the account were still me and Ranj, from FantasyCon 2010, and you and Peter, from FantasyCon 2009.

I don't think I ever signed it over to anyone else, but I could be misremembering! Either way, it sounds like Amanda and Lee are the ones you need to talk to.

Edit: just noticed what Peter said about Lee having control of it now, so ignore me...

I signed it over, Stephen. At least I thought I had! Lloyds apparently doesn't agree :-)

Signatories on the F/Con account were all changed to me, Peter and Debbie once you left, Stephen. At the moment, I'm still on the main accounts (and probably F/Con as well) and get calls from LTSB about them every so often. I have told Lee, and we did fill in some forms months ago ...

I thought I had been removed from the FCon account -- I remember signing quite a few change of account holder forms over the past few years. I love the speed at which banks sometimes move on these things, not.

Well I sent an email to chair@fantasycon.co.uk. No reply as yet. I really don't want to be getting bank statements. It isn't right since I left the various committees at the EGM in December last year.

I think it will go through to Lee's Angry Robot work address, so he won't get it till Monday am, Debbie.

If you don't get a reply, I would send it to chair@britishfantasysociety.org and copy in treasurer@britishfantasysociety.org.

Then you know for sure it's gone to the right people...

Ack, sorry, I thought you'd said chair@britishfantasysociety.org. Are we talking about FantasyCon, not the BFS? No wonder I was confused when Stephen said it would go to Marie (when I'd said Lee). Oh dear, just ignore me - I've been talking at cross purposes with you all I think ...  :-\

(and now I've just looked at the subject title and you WERE talking about FCon - sorry!)

As far as I am aware, Lee is one of the signatories for both accounts -- excluding the specific accounts for this year's FCon.

Just got an answerphone message from Lloyds. They are still waiting for mandates to change the signatories. I thought this had been done ages ago.

It really isn't right for me to have access to this money when I've not been on any committees for a year. Will forward my as-yet-unanswered email to chair of BFS and telephoning bank again on Friday to have my details removed, so Lloyds will need a new address for the account.
