Aha. Lee says banks forms sent off start of year. God knows what bank has done with them. But he's sorting it, so I won't be tempted to book a cruise now ...  ;D

If we're quick we could go off together, leave this wintery island...

If there's enough money in the BFS bank account for you two to go off together, then the BFS must be in a good state financially!  ;)

You're mixing up the BFS and FantasyCon again, Caroline!

When things have gone well, the FantasyCon account has a nice buffer in so that it can afford to pay up front for the following year's hotel booking.

I think it was in pretty good shape after the 2010 convention, and for the last couple of years there won't have been much, if anything, spent because those conventions were run privately, and paid the FantasyCon account half their profits... So probably enough in there to pay for a decent cruise for two.

At the AGM the committee said the BFS account is good health too - the accounts were planned to be released this Friday at the open night.

Aww, thanks, Peter. With the weather as cold as it is here at the moment can we go somewhere nice and hot, please?  ;D

Ooh, Peter - you think Jan will mind you going off with two women?  ;)

Sounds like someone might be planning "The Alchemy Press Book of Romantic Adventures".
Where are you all heading off to, anyway? I might even renew my passport.

I think we should just turn this into a BFS cruise to the sunny Med.  ;D

(you know, The Alchemy Press Book of Romantic Adventures sounds like it could be a good antho!)
