Whats in your to-get list?
« on: October 12, 2013, 11:20:19 am »
Okay, so briefly inspired by all of the noise about Super Thursday (when some of the big name publishers announce their books for the Christmas bestseller), what is on the members of the forum must-get list? What authors are they avidly following, eagerly awaiting or otherwise disgruntled with?

As for myself, I am eternally grateful that after 6 and half years I will be able to finally get a hold of Scott Lynch's new book.

It wouldn't be Christmas without the Doctor Who Annual!

I don't get many novels for Christmas now, because you can't gift Kindle books, so I don't add them to my wishlist. So for Christmas and birthdays I get lots of comics and albums. Usually the latest volumes of Savage Sword of Conan and Doctor Who (the books collecting the magazine strips), and any new Buffy graphic novels.

I suspect I'm really jumping the gun with this one but Chuggie and the Prisoner Gods by Brent M Kelley

I'd like a very detailed reference book on animal anatomy - recommendation of titles would be very much appreciated too - and a Kindle copy of Mr Pye by Mervyn Peake
If wishes were horses then we'd all be eating steak.
Jayne Cobb, Firefly.

But ... if fishes were courses then we'd all be eating hake ...

Dr. Sleep by Stephen King and I've been promising myself to catch up with Michael Moorcock's later works as well as gaps in the older back list.

Still keep looking at the PS Pub. lists.

Wayne.

Sadly there were no American editions in the dealers room not even one of Tad's and he was attending even though there were American book dealers there. :( I did enjoy the convention though. ;D
