Suggestions for the 2015 awards
« on: August 26, 2014, 04:40:53 PM »
You can now start suggesting 2014 items that will be eligible for the British Fantasy Awards 2015.

Submit your items here: http://tinyurl.com/suggestions2015

The list will appear here: http://tinyurl.com/list2015

It's an anonymous form, so don't be shy about adding your own stuff to the list.

Any authors, editors and publishers who have multiple titles to supply are welcome to email them to me in a spreadsheet (stephen.theaker@gmail.com).

Only one minor change to the form was needed following the AGM, and that has now been taken in, so you can make your suggestions for the 2015 awards with confidence: http://tinyurl.com/suggestions2015. Thanks to everyone who has already done so.

A final reminder! If you are a publisher, author, critic or fan, please consider submitting items to our suggestions list for the benefit of voters in the British Fantasy Awards 2015. You don't need to be a BFA voter yourself or a member of the society to suggest items. The current list can be seen here: http://tinyurl.com/list2015. To suggest items (or to point out mistakes), use this Google form: http://tinyurl.com/suggestions2015.

Our rules on eligibility can be found in the awards constitution. The basic rule is that items must have been published for the first time in any format in the English language during 2014. Note that this year we have returned to the previous interpretation of that rule with regard to foreign-language films and television programmes; they are eligible, so long as they were released for the first time in 2014 in the English language (i.e. with English subtitles or an English dub).

Voting will begin in January, with an invitation to vote being emailed to current BFS members. Attendees of FantasyCon 2014 and FantasyCon 2015 are also able to vote, and will be contacted by the convention organisers.
