Fantasycon 2017 - possible content suggestions...
« on: November 18, 2016, 02:06:16 PM »
Please could you post here any content suggestions/activities that you would like to see/hear/participate in at Fantasycon 2017.

By which I don't mean offers to read or be on panels (those are great, but not here/now) but topics you would like discussed, themes you are interested in etc.

There is a discussion on facebook on the same theme, if you are posting on there you don't need to duplicate your post on here as we will be reading both places.

It is not a votes as such, so showing support for and adding to an idea is great, but lots of repition of the same point is less useful.

Obviously we can't guarantee that we will implement all of the suggestions (either here or on facebook), please don't take any positive comments from the HWS team members to be an indication that it will definitely happen.  We will be looking at all the suggestions as a team and putting together the programme closer to the event.

Thanks
Karen

The value of the small or independent press for the publication of short stories, in particular single author collections, novels etc., may be of interest. Could be a regular issue, but it's one that is of some importance, especially for fledgling writers.

Perhaps, also, to redress the imbalance of recent conventions, a panel of artists in fantasy, horror and SF.
