   The blurb says, ‘Exactly fifty years ago, the BBC TV broadcast the first instalment of THE QUATERMASS EXPERIMENT – WRITER Nigel Kneale’s landmark sci-fi thriller concerning the catastrophic launch be British rocket group. Intended merely to plug a gap in the summer schedules, it’s now regarded as marking the birth of modern TV drama. By way of a celebration, this is a rare screening of the first two episodes of the seminal serial (all that exists in the archives) plus THE PHOTOGRAPH – a short story by Kneale, here read for television by actor Tom Baker.
   This special event will be introduced by acclaimed novelist and TV scriptwriter Stephen Gallagher (Oktober, Murder Rooms).
