Hello Everyone -- New to the Board
« on: December 21, 2006, 08:38:19 pm »
Hello there,

I wanted to introduce myself to all of you. My name's Eric Shapiro; I'm a fiction writer in the U.S. whose most recent novella, "Days of Allison," was published last month by the wonderful Crowswing Books (and shamelessly -- or perhaps shamefully! -- plugged, five minutes ago, on this board's Book section).

It always pleases me to think about the fact that online communities like this one exist. They're top resources for book recommendations, networking, and industry knowledge.

Hello again to everyone here :-)

Eric

Thanks for posting that! IT'S ONLY TEMPORARY is still available from Permuted Press, and can be found on Amazon, BN, Shocklines, etc.

Judging by that review, it sounds like an interesting storyline...
If wishes were horses then we'd all be eating steak.
Jayne Cobb, Firefly.

But ... if fishes were courses then we'd all be eating hake ...

Of course, Eric's short story "3:21" was included in The Elastic Book of Numbers, published by myself which won the BFS best anthology award this year. Must admit his story remains one of my personal favourites in the book. I've also read "It's Only Temporary" which I really enjoyed, and will be catching up with "Days of Allison" soon...
