Tony Richards is one of those writers whose work is enjoying a resurgence of interest at the moment. Having had two horror novels published in the late 80s and then having been sidelined as the bottom dropped out of the genre, he has been steadily working within the independent press ever since, maintaining his profile with short story sales. This year, however, will see publication of “Dark Rain” by Eos, the sf/fantasy imprint of HarperCollins US. Back selling novels where he belongs, I caught up with Tony by email and asked him a few questions about his career and why he thinks the horror genre is popular again.
