Chaz Brenchley update

Chaz Brenchley writes: ‘These days my personality feels not so much split as shaved, with every separate sliver publishing in a different genre under a different name. Not complaining, you understand: I love the breadth of genre fiction, that I can write ghost stories and epic historical fantasies and dark contemporary urban fantasy too.

The last of the Daniel Fox trilogy, Hidden Cities, is out now and available.

The first of the D’Esp’rance books — ghost stories, of a sort, at novel length: and due to be published under my own name — was finished and has been delivered.

And between the two lies Desdaemona by Ben Macallan, the first of what we hope will be a new series of urban fantasies. The book is due out in two months, but the more pre-orders the publishers receive, the better chance that they’ll ask me for more. If you’re in striking distance of Newcastle on Tyne, come to the launch party. At the Lit & Phil (of course!), Thursday 19 May at 7.00pm.”
