The Huddersfield Literature Festival 2011 (16-20 March) celebrates the word in action: ‘We have some fantastic events lined up for you, kicking off the launch with a celebration of 25 years of Peepal Tree Press. Join us for the free launch evening party ‘ but do book a ticket as this event will book up quickly. We’ve got some very exciting names this year: David Peace, Anne Fine, Simon Armitage, David Nobbs, AL Kennedy and controversial teenage fiction writer Melvin Burgess. As well as a programme packed full of premi’res and special commissions. There are opportunities to enjoy readings, music, comedy and workshops to help develop your writing technique and express your creativity.’
