Outcasts: The Game is the first book in a new YA fantasy series that sees bullied children gain superhuman abilities with some seriously disastrous results. The series sees David Grimstone, who has written many blog entries about bullying and depression, writing his first mass-market book with a contemporary setting. It’s a subject close to his heart, and a striking departure from the rest of his series fiction for Hodder, which has included fantasy works like The Illmoor Chronicles, historical action series like Gladiator Boy and the zombie comedy Undead Ed.
