Night Shade Books presents a “Cthulhu Summer”, introducing new talent to hit the Cthulhu Mythos scene.

In July, Jonathan Wood’s first novel No Hero appeared, which is ‘Kurt Russell-style action meets Lovecraftian horror! Oxford police detective Arthur Wallace asks himself that question a lot. Because Arthur is no hero. He’s a good cop, but prefers that action and heroics remain on the screen, safely performed by professionals.’  

This month, it’s John Horner’s Jacob’s Southern Gods, a ‘mental vacation to  the postwar Gothic South which is straight up spooky and a masterful execution of Lovecraftian style horror. ‘ 

In September, the Cthulhu program culminates in Ross E. Lockhart’s  The Book of Cthulhu… ‘A Cthulhu collection that goes where no Cthulhu collection has gone before. ‘
