Upcoming BSFG meetings

Frances Hardinge, the popular dark fantasy author for younger readers, will be talking to the Birmingham Science Fiction Group (BSFG) on 11 March. Hardinge has published three novels: Fly by Night, Verdigris Deep and Gullstruck Island. Her new novel Twilight Robbery will be published this month. The meeting starts at 7.45 pm, at the Briar Rose Hotel on Bennett’s Hill in Birmingham (five minutes walk from New Street Station and handy for all bus routes).

Noted comic SF/Fantasy author Robert Rankin will visit the BSFG on 8 April. Rankin is the author of many popular novels including the British Fantasy Award nominated novels The Brentford Chainstore Massacre and The Brightonomicon. The meeting starts at 7.45 pm, this time at the Old Joint Stock pub on Temple Row in Birmingham (also five minutes from New Street station).
