Writers’ Workshop in Birmingham

Legend Press is organising a number of Writers’ Workshops after the success of recent events held in London. Their next one is in the Birmingham Central Library on Saturday 16 July, supported by Writing West Midlands. It will cover a range of subjects and offer guidance and advice via a panel discussion and detailed Q&A with publishers, agents and authors looking at tips for writing, how to get your work published, get an agent, market your work and increase your author profile.

The cost is a ‘59.99 but members are eligible for a 10% discount if you book before 1 June. All you have to do is email: conference@legend-paperbooks.co.uk with the reference RENEWRIT2011.

[Note: I avoid making comments on conventions, workshops and courses — I pass on the information for you to decide whether to attend or not. But to me, this one day event does seem rather pricey. As ever, it’s caveat emptor.]
