Allen Ashley writes: I am pleased to confirm details of another book signing event for my latest short story collection "Once and Future Cities". I shall be reading an abridged version of my story "Beholders", answering questions and generally promoting the book at the Big Green Bookshop, Unit 1, Brampton Park Road, off Wood Green High Road, Wood Green, London N22 6BG on the evening of Thursday 28th January 2010.
The event starts at 6.30pm; my reading is from 7pm prompt; event finishes at 8pm. The owner is promising wine. The Big Green Bookshop is an independent bookshop just off Wood Green High Road.

How to get there: public transport is your best bet. Nearest tubes are Turnpike Lane or Wood Green (both Piccadilly Line). From Turnpike Lane – come out of station, cross over road and head north with shops such as Marks and Spencer, BHS and Superdrug on your right. When you reach Holland & Barrett, Brampton Park Road is the turning over the road on your left. From Wood Green, turn slightly left out of the station. Cross road (Lordship Lane) so that cinema and bus stops are on your left. Keep walking towards Wood Green Shopping City. Walk past shops such as Barclays Bank, Next and HMV. When you reach Holland & Barrett, Brampton Park Road is the turning over the road on your right. Loads of buses go along Wood Green High Road – such as 141, 221, 329, 29, 121, etc. It will probably not be possible or advisable to try to park on the High Road. There is a pay car park in the shopping city.
To contact me: email: email@example.com.
But don’t email me after 4 o’clock on the day as I will be on my way to the tube station!
