York Pubmeet

Hey! We have another York Pubmeet coming up in March, this time with fantasy author A J Dalton…
It takes place from 5pm to 8pm-ish on Saturday 11th March 2017, in the back bar at The New York Club, 22-26 Blossom Street, York – turn right out of York station, and right again at the traffic lights, and it’s about 200 yards down the road.

In association with the British Science Fiction Association (BSFA) and the British Fantasy Society (BFS) we are pleased to announce our second York Pubmeet for 2017. Our guest for the evening is fantasy author A J Dalton, whose work includes The Book of Angels, The Book of Orm, The Chronicles of a Cosmic Warlord series and many more.

A J Dalton – Fantasy Author

As part of the evening, A J Dalton will also be doing a presentation on fantasy sub-genres and their sociohistory, as well as reading from his own work. You can discover much more about A J Dalton and his love of fantasy on his website: http://www.ajdalton.eu
As always, we will open the floor to questions from the audience, and you’re more than welcome to bring along books to be signed, etc. And there’ll be the usual FREE raffle – with less books this time, ‘cos we gave away at the last event!
About A J Dalton…
A J Dalton (the ‘A’ is for Adam) has been an English language teacher as far afield as Egypt, the Czech Republic, Thailand, Slovakia, Poland and Manchester University. He has lived in Manchester since 2003, but has a conspicuous Cockney accent, as he was born in Croydon on a dark night, when strange stars were seen in the sky. He is the best-selling fantasy author of The Sub-genres of British Fantasy (2017), I Am a Small God (2016), The Book of Angels (2016), The Book of Orm (2015), Empire of the Saviours (2012), Gateway of the Saviours (2013), Tithe of the Saviours (2014), Necromancer’s Gambit (2008), Necromancer’s Betrayal (2009) and Necromancer’s Fall (2010).

As always, this event is FREE TO ATTEND, just turn up (preferably before 5pm unless you want to risk some minor humiliation and additional attention… just saying, like).
Do join us if you can, and if you haven’t been before, I assure you we are always (a) very welcoming, (b) very approachable, and (c) very pleased to have you along…
I’m confident that once again it’ll be another great evening, full to bursting with inspiration, but we do need your support and attendance, so please plan ahead and take the time to book a FREE ticket – this helps make organising things in advance that little bit easier.
The New York Club is a new trial location for us — much larger than our usual haunts but with limited facilities, cheaper drinks, and well… your feedback would be appreciated afterwards. There’s no food again, but plenty of places nearby (and next door) should we end up decanting elsewhere.
