“Are you interested in writing genre fiction? Do you want to pick up tips and techniques from some of the best genre writers around today? If so, don’t miss our Guilty Pleasures writing day.
We know that there’s nothing as stimulating as a good read to take you somewhere weird, magical, into the seedy past, into the bosom of romance or into some post apocalyptic nightmare. And there’s nothing like a genre surge to signal the zeitgeist – look at the current boom in vampire lit and dark romance. Our special genre writing day kicks off with a panel of writers and editors, you then choose a morning and afternoon masterclass, take part in a competition and listen to writers telling you about their guilty (reading) pleasures.”
The impressive line up includes: James Barclay, Stephen Jones, Catherine King, Duncan Proudfoot and Tim Waterstone.
The event takes place on Saturday 20 November, from 9.15 am to 4.45 pm, at the Royal Overseas League, Park Place, London. For more information visit this site.
