Martin Rowson signs Tristram Shandy

Martin Rowson will be signing The Life and Opinions of Tristram Shandy, Gentleman at the Forbidden Planet Megastore, 179 Shaftesbury Avenue, London, WC2H 8JR, on Saturday 15 May at 1.00 pm. From the press release:

“Martin Rowson’s work appears regularly in The Guardian and The Daily Mirror. With a scathing, satirical slant to his humour, he has a wealth of titles already to his credit – Snatches, Stuff and The Dog Allusion: Pets, Gods and How to be Human. Rowson is hugely popular, often compared to ‘national treasure’ William Hogarth and has a ready readership of book buying fans. He’s currently working on adapting Gulliver’s Travels into graphic novel form.

Originally penned by Laurence Sterne, Tristram Shandy is one of literature’s most curious, complex and comic novels; this new edition is a beautifully creative hardcover edition, crafted to allow more space for Rowson’s intricate illustrations. Both inventive and hilarious, the graphic novel adaptation is the perfect format to showcase Rowson’s distinctive and anarchic style.”
