Sheffield Fantasy and Science Fiction (SFSF) Event

SFSF is back! And with two of the most exciting authors in modern British fantasy! Rob Hayes, winner of last year’s SPFBO contest with Where Loyalties Lie, brings his new standalone epic City of Kings, and British Fantasy Award double nominee Anna Smith Spark brings the second book in her Empires of Dust trilogy, The Tower of Living and Dying.

Come and hear Rob and Anna read from their work and talk about awards, writing, all things fantastic, and shoes! Plus – win books in our famous raffle!

Admission is free, but please be advised that the event takes place in a first floor room.

Date and Time: Sat 29 September 2018, 16:00 – 19:00 BST

Location: Rutland Arms, 86 Brown Street, Sheffield, S1 2BS

SFSF is a joint event for The British Fantasy Society (BFS) and British Science Fiction Association (BSFA).

It is an evening/pubmeet event that focuses purely on books. Author readings tend to be quite short followed by a Q&A and there is of course, food, drink and booze, too (not included!). In line with the high standards set by the Super Relaxed Fantasy Club (SRFC), we ensure everybody gets an opportunity to introduce themselves, it doesn’t matter if you’re a bookseller, editor, agent, published author, fledgling author, passionate reader, or veteran reviewer. Everyone is welcome and no one is more important than anyone else. United by a love of the fantastic, the weird, the speculative, the horrific, and the spooky, everyone gets to say ‘Hi’ and feel part of the gang.
