Bella Pagan on Tor

‘Bella Pagan will be joining Tor, the science fiction and fantasy imprint of Pan Macmillan, as a senior commissioning editor on 1November. She will join Julie Crisp, Tor Editorial Director, to work on the strategy to grow the science fiction and fantasy publishing at Pan Macmillan.

Pagan has been at Orbit, Little Brown’s science fiction and fantasy list, for nine years, the last five years as a commissioning editor. Her authors have included Jim Butcher, Brent Weeks, Charles Stross, Elizabeth Moon and Patricia Briggs.

The Tor imprint was launched in the UK in 2003 as part of a shared worldwide venture with the market-leading Tor imprint in the USA. The aim was to provide a dedicated platform for the exceptional prize-winning talent Pan Macmillan had been nurturing in this field for some years with authors such as China Mi’ville and Peter F Hamilton, and to expand what has become one of the most prestigious and highly regarded lists in the UK.’

(Sorry about the pun!)
