We wanted to draw your attention to a couple of wonderful projects that are taking place.
The first of these is Flotation Device, a charity anthology from the Glasgow SF Writer’s Circle edited by E.M. Faulds.
All of the stories have been donated by the authors and all proceeds will be split between:
- The Trussell Trust (Foodbanks UK wide)
- Medecins Sans Frontieres (Doctors without Borders)
- Simon Community Scotland (Homelessness in Scotland)
The anthology is of fantastical stories by a variety of authors, including Hal Duncan, Cameron Johnston (author of the Traitor God), Ruth E.J. Booth (British Fantasy Award winner for short fiction) and Shona Kinsella (Editor of BFS Horizons).

The other anthology is Stories of Hope and Wonder from Newcon Press. All proceeds being donated to support NHS staff and UK Healthcare workers.
This features 53 stories from a huge variety of authors including Francis Hardinge, Peter F. Hamilton, Lavie Tidhar, Adrian Tchaikovsky and Lisa Tuttle.
