Peake Studies – new issue available

Peake Studies edited by G Peter Winnington and devoted to Mervyn Peake, author of the Titus Groan/Gormenghast trilogy, is “one of the most consistently interesting and resourceful journals devoted to a single author in the fantasy field”. The latest issue, Volume 12 Number 2, features three little-known radio talks by Mervyn Peake, in which he discusses how he sees things as an artist; book illustration, and, in a round table with critics and readers, the origins and inspiration behind Titus Groan. Unpublished Peake drawings, and news and reviews complete the issue. The journal will be celebrating Peake’s centenary this year, with news of all the related events and publications. Details here.
