Writer and editor James Palmer has formed a new publishingÂ imprint designed to take advantage of the surge in popularity of NewÂ PulpÂ fiction, as well as the huge explosion of Print on Demand publishingÂ andÂ ebooks.
“This is an amazing time to be a writer orÂ editor,” says Palmer. Â “IÂ really wanted to hit the ground running with something that can useÂ these newÂ technologies in new and unique ways.”
Giant Robot Books will not only publish New Pulp, but weirdÂ western, steampunk, and sci-fi, and has several anthologies planned.
“I will be rolling out some theme anthologies as wellÂ as individual novels and short stories,” says Palmer. Â “Stick around.Â It’s going to be a wildÂ ride.”
Giant Robot Books will be a way for Palmer to bring his loveÂ for classic sci-fi and pulp into the twenty-first century world ofÂ indieÂ publishing. Palmer plans on rolling out ebooks featuring newÂ pulp characters, but they also have plans for several anthologies.
