Ted Chiang’s new novella, The Lifecycle of Software Objects, at over 30,000 words his longest story to date, has just been published in Subterranean Online (in the fall/autumn 2010 issue). Further contents will be listed over the coming days and weeks.

Meanwhile, the summer issue is still available, which contains stories by Lucius Shepard, Lawrence Block, KJ Parker, Jay Lake, Cory Doctorow Mike Resnick and Rachel Swirsky.

Currently at their printers, Subterranean Press will soon be publishing Harlan Ellison’s revised Deathbird Stories, Blue and Gold by JK Parker, and Deadman’s Road and Dread Island, both by Joe R Lansdale.
