Sein und werden, or “being and becoming” is (according to the website) a quarterly collection of surreal, expressionist and existentialist fiction and art.

Simply printed and bound with some strong twine, this has a very traditional feel to it, and the content definitely lives up to its manifesto.  A truly eclectic selection of short stories and poems that range in topic from a group of ecowarriors infiltrated by an undercover policeman who then goes native, to three people being chased across country by a hole ever increasing in size.
